Note:* "The 9 series" phones are the Digital (TDM) equivalent of the IP "8 series". The 4039 is the same style as the 4038 IP handset.

The key difference aesthetically between the Alcatel 4038 IP telephone the 4028 is the number of soft keys – 10 vs. 6 respectively. This means you can see even more on your IP phone screen, without having to scroll down.
The Alcatel 4038 phone has a built-in display panel that provides four levels of greyscale viewing at 100x160-pixel screen resolution and also includes an integrated keyboard for easy contact (speed dial) location.
