The 4039 Alcatel phone is the flagship, or receptionist, handset in the Alcatel 9 series lineup and connects to any Alcatel OMNI PCX phone system.
The only difference between the Alcatel 4039 handset and the 4029 is the number of soft keys on either side of the screen – 10 versus 6 respectively. This means you can see even more on your Alcatel 4039 telephone without having to scroll down.
Like it’s smaller counterpart, the Alcatel 4039 handset is stylish whilst also offering the same ease of use and intelligent functionality.
Just check out these great Alcatel 4039 user features:
Any Alcatel 4039 user will tell you that once you’ve used the unique QWERTY keypad for speed dialing and staff listings you simply won’t want to go back to a traditional key system.
With the Alcatel 4039 telephone all you do is type in the first letter of the person you are trying to contact and presto, it brings up all your options on screen. It’s just like using your mobile phone contacts except faster! The keyboard on the 4039 handset can also be used for internal office messaging – another great feature in busy offices!
The Alcatel Lucent 4039 telephone also has intelligently designed coloured buttons for frequently used features like voicemail (red and flashing), hands free (orange), mute (yellow). And they have located all the most frequently sued service in one area – that’s easy for the 4039 user.
Should all staff have a 4039 Alcatel phone?
NO. The Alcatel 4029 phone handset is approximately $100 less than the Alcatel 4039 telephone and offers the same functionality just a slightly smaller screen. It’s compulsory to have at least one 4039 telephone with any Alcatel phone system for programming purposes. Unless you have specific needs for more than one Alcatel Lucent 4039 handset (perhaps 2 receptionists) – a combination of the 4029 and 4019 phones is a great balance for most small and medium business.
If you wanted to see more than 10 people on your "first screen" then seriously look at the extra DSS consoles that are available. There is a 10 button console and a 40 button console option.
If you are looking for an IP equivalent then check out the Alcatel 4038 and 4068 IP phones. They are identical in looks to the 4039 digital handset however the 4028 and 4068 are strictly IP. The 4068 IP also has a coloured screen.
The Alcatel Lucent 4039 handset comes with a 12 month warranty and is built to last. They have the same excellent reputation and build quality as the Alcatel Lucent OmniPCX Office phone systems they connect to.
